Biometric Access Control Systems

Command Center Software

NextgenID’s Command Center Software is a powerful administrative tool for use with the BioAxs suite of products. It communicates with BioAxs Door Commanders over a standard LAN/WAN connection.

System Set-up and Configuration

Command Center Software allows administrative users to configure the system to meet their precise needs. Access panels can be configured:

- Define expected access panel behavior according to threat level
- To accept input from existing proximity or magnetic swipe card readers
- To accept input from a NoTailgating IR; to open a magnetic lock or strike plate
- To accept “request to exit” button input; to have open access hours (when the door is not secured)
- To send output to an existing access control system (using standard card reader output over a Wiegand connection)
- Create logical groupings of access panels by user-defined name (department, wing, floor, etc.)
- Cluster logical groupings into larger groups (building, campus, etc.)
- Define additional demographic data to be collected at enrollment
- Integration with Windows Organization Security
- Many other user definable attributes

User Enrollment and Administration

Command Center enrollment stations can be set-up anywhere on the network to enroll users in the most convenient place for their location. User’s can be given:

- Fingerprint enrollment (fingerprint reader included in cost of Command Center Software)
- Iris enrollment
- Trusted enrollment photo
- A duress entry option
- Lock-down over-ride privileges
- Guest privileges (if using a NoTailgating IR)
- Can be granted complex access privileges at each door
- Can be added to a User Group
- Can be granted temporary privileges
- Can be added to a Watch List
- Can be removed from the system
- Approval of facial biometrics

Real-time Event and Alarm Monitoring

An important tool for Security Department personnel, the System Monitor allows the security professional to:

- View real-time events for the entire system
- View events by building, floor, department, or access panel
- View alarms for tailgating, tamper, intrusion, duress, or Watch List incidents
- Open an access panel from the System Monitor station
- Lock down an access panel from the System Monitor station

Event reporting and searching

The Command Center’s search and report functions provide a powerful aid in incident investigation. It is also helpful in monitoring the timely compliance of personnel with assigned duties and schedules.
