Job Brief

  • NextgenID is looking for a technical expert in Quality Assurance and an experienced tester to create, update, and maintain software quality assurance test plans, suites, and scripts for the implementation of procedures to complete quality assurance testing
  • Exclusively responsible for finding the bugs in the software development and implementing procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment that supports databases and applications
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Write, implement, report, and analyze status for system test cases for testing

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Completes the test cases to complete input validation as well as data verification
  • Completes an assessment of how the software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommends methods to optimize the organization's process
  • Reports to the project manager regarding the quality and condition of the testing
  • Capable to research software products for feasibility and feature-set
  • Perform manual testing and document evidence of expected results being met
  • Pinpoint the open defects found during system testing and coordinate with the developer through resolution
  • Retest defects when coding is complete and support integration testing
  • Should be able to query the database and review code to identify test data for test scenarios and prepare test data

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent education, training, and experience
  • At least 5 years of related software testing experience
  • Familiarity with Government’s procedures and requirements for HSPD-12, knowledge about Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), PIV integration, Biometrics, and Credential Management System (CMS) is a plus
  • Knowledge of QA and engineering principles, methods, and techniques
  • Equipped with hardware and software build project experience
  • Proven success in managing multiple key priorities and tight timelines
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, responsible for identifying, raising risks and issues
