Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to develop, enhance, and maintain both hardware and software solutions for NextgenID’s innovative offerings.
- Supervise the Development, QA, and Technical Service teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to drive technical strategies and oversee their implementation.
- Spearhead the development and integration of biometric systems, document capture and imaging systems, and advanced hardware solutions.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Stay updated on advancements in biometric technology, document imaging, hardware development, and software systems to maintain technical leadership.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, and Operations, to ensure technical solutions align with client and business needs.
- Develop and optimize workflows for engineering, QA, and technical services to maximize efficiency and collaboration.
- Maintain a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in both hardware and software development, with a preference for expertise in biometric systems, document capture, and imaging technologies.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, including Development, QA, and Technical Service teams, in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical skills in programming, hardware design, and system integration relevant to NextgenID’s offerings.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus but secondary to hardware and software expertise.
- Familiarity with IoT devices, hardware integration, and advanced imaging systems is highly desirable.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
