NextgenID Privacy Policy

NextgenID, Inc. (“NextgenID,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds identity infrastructure for high-assurance identity proofing, enrollment, and credentialing. We take privacy seriously because identity is our business. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at www.nextgenid.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the website only. Identity proofing and enrollment services delivered through our PresenceID™ platform are governed by separate agreements with our customers and, for government programs, by the sponsoring agency’s privacy notices and applicable law. See “Our Identity Services” below.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you fill out a form on this site, contacting us, requesting a demo, subscribing to updates, or applying for a job, we collect what you submit: typically your name, work email, phone number, company, and message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URLs. We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and security. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse; reCAPTCHA collects technical data subject to Google’s privacy policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings and our Consent Preferences tool.
What we do not collect on this website. This website does not collect biometric data. Biometric capture occurs only within our supervised enrollment services, under separate agreements and notices, with the consent of the individual being enrolled.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, provide requested information and demos, evaluate job applications, operate and secure the website, understand how visitors use the site, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use website data for third-party advertising.
How We Share Information
We share information only with:
- service providers who help us run the website and our business (hosting, analytics, CRM, customer chat, applicant tracking), under contractual confidentiality obligations;
- legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety; and
- a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
Our Identity Services
When NextgenID delivers identity proofing or credentialing services on behalf of a government agency or enterprise customer, that customer is the data controller. NextgenID acts as a service provider and processor. We do not use, sell, retain, or disclose enrollment data, including biometric data, for any purpose other than performing the contracted services.
Enrollment data is collected under the customer’s authority, governed by the customer’s privacy notices (for U.S. federal programs, applicable Privacy Act system of records notices), and handled per contract, NIST SP 800-63 requirements, and applicable law. Data Retention
We retain personal information no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Website inquiry data is kept as long as needed to respond and maintain our business relationship, then deleted or anonymized. Job application data is retained per applicable employment law. Technical logs are retained for security and operations, then deleted on a schedule.
Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your state or country, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@nextgenid.com. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.
Opt-out preference signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information. Some browsers offer Do Not Track settings; because no common standard exists for DNT, we respond to GPC signals instead.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom: we process website data on the legal bases of legitimate interest (site operation, security, responding to inquiries) and consent (marketing communications and analytics cookies). You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We will post changes here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be flagged prominently on this page.
