FAIRFAX, Va., August 11, 2026 — NextgenID today announced it has been ranked No. 28 in Security and No. 1,364 overall on the 2026 Inc. 5000, the annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The company also ranked No. 56 in Virginia and No. 59 in the Washington metropolitan area.

The list is the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses. It recognizes companies that have achieved remarkable growth while driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the future of the economy. NextgenID operates the identity infrastructure behind high-assurance verification for federal agencies and global enterprises. The ranking is NextgenID’s second Inc. recognition of 2026. The company was named an Inc. Regionals: Mid-Atlantic honoree earlier this year. Inc. 5000 list methodology
Companies on the 2026 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent, not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies, as of December 31, 2025. Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
